![]() The most important thing to do is make sure you rarely use any of your other major cooldowns while wings is up. The first thing to keep in mind is that even without wings, we have a large pool of other cooldowns and utility at our disposal. Healing outside of wings can seem scary at first, but that fear is usually the leading cause for why people don't use wings as much as they should. Only on very specific fight encounters (Rashok) should you not just send it on the first available damage pattern. If you're running the Avenging Crusader build, you'll want to be even more aggressive with your wings usage, very rarely ever sitting on it because the cooldown is so low (45 seconds). Once you have some practice, you'll know when you need to hold your wings vs press it on cooldown. ![]() Most of this will come from practicing raid encounters or dungeons until you learn which sections you really need the throughput for. There's a balance you need between not sitting on wings and having it available when you need it. ![]() Newer players tend to be hesitant to use these cooldowns at will because they're concerned about needing it for emergencies, but these cooldowns are the core of what makes our us powerful and holding them like that is a complete waste, especially when we have Awakening procs to bridge the gap between casts. Before we get too in depth, let's first talk about how and when to use wings.
